WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?

Surprisingly. we get this question a lot when we mention Somerset, WI.

When we opened Somerset Sales and Leasing, we took in consideration the location. We chose it because we are so close to St.Paul, Mn, yet equally as close to Menominee, WI.

When I say we are close I mean we are very, very close to MN; Stillwater, MN is only 13 minutes away, a short 8.5 miles away.

We are located in Somerset WI. on the main street through town. Here is a google link to our exact location. CLICK HERE . When the city decided to put a highway around Somerset Wi, our address got all messed up on Mapquest and Google maps and everywhere else.

Here are some directions from MN:

Go to Stillwater MN and take the lift bridge over the Saint Croix river.

From there you are going to stay on that highway until you come to the  County Road V V exit. Now take that exit.

When you come to the stop sign you will take a left.

Click here to see the exit.

With all types of holiday trips on the way, now is the time to make sure your car is up to par for a road excursion. You’ll want everything to be in top order.

Get it inspected!

A routine inspection or tune up is a proper starting point. Change your oil, check your air filter, check your tire pressure, rotate your tires, and top off the windshield washer fluid. Make sure all headlights, taillights, and brake lights are working correctly. Check your brake pads and brake fluid levels and have your battery tested. Schedule any maintenance that needs to take place before you can take off.

Is your GPS up to date?

If you have a GPS system in the car or on your smartphone, validate that it is working properly and all maps are up to date. Check your planned route in advance to make sure there isn’t any construction or any road closures. Bring extra copies of any directions, addresses, or confirmation numbers you may need at your journey’s end.

Arrange for the worst.

Make up an emergency kit of both personal and car related items to keep in your trunk along with your spare tire. The car emergency kit should include a flashlight, jumper cables, an extra set of clothes and a small tool kit. For personal safety, a first aid kit, bottled water, and a couple blankets are always good to have.

Entertainment is key!

A dirty car is no place to spend part of your holiday. Vacuum the car and wash the windows inside and out. Pack drinks and snacks as well as napkins and hand wipes, maybe even a trash bag to help contain the garbage. Help pass the time with a brand new playlist or a new movie.

How is My Credit Score Calculated?

Your credit score is calculated based on a number of factors listed in your credit history that describe components of your financial life including the number and type of credit accounts you have, the amount of available credit, the length of your credit history and your payment history. Each of these factors is assigned a numerical value, and then weighted based on how prominently they affect your credit worthiness.

Each of the credit reporting bureaus analyzes your credit history and weights these factors differently, but they generally follow this breakdown:
